  • KCC = knowledge consistency checker (like a routing table )
  • Site links are replication paths between sites
  • RootDSE = naming context info held on each server (name, domain etc.
  • DIT = Directory Information Tree
  • PAS = Partial Attribute Set
  • ACL = List of who can do what
  • Security group to allow or deny access
  • OU's are containers that allow you to manage the objects they contain (delegeate control, apply group dpolicies etc.).
  • MSC = Microsoft Saved Console
  • DSA = Directory Services Agent (a DC is a DSA)
  • DN = Distinguished name ( Cn=, ou=, DC=) NOTE Relative Distinguished name is the cn, ou etc)
  • ANR = Ambiguous Name Resolution
